Who am I?

Jessica’s love for body work and empowering people lead her to participate in various workshops involving working with the body. She became a TRE Practitioner in 2012. She previously worked in the advertising industry. As well as TRE, Jess also practices Myofascial Release Therapy and is a graphic designer /art director. Jessica has spent the past year and a half assisting and co-supervising L1 and L2 TRE trainings with L3 trainer, Ingrid Regenass. Jessica has also been involved in community projects with the SAPS, she organized the Cape Fire TRE sessions and has done corporate TRE programmes. Body work has played a major role in Jessica’s own journey of healing stress and trauma. Through this, she realised that the body is often able to express and release what talking through an issue could not. Jessica is passionate about helping people move forward in their lives. To further her studies and expertise Jessica is currently doing her BSc. in Psychology and Physiology with Genetics.

Techniques I use

· T.R.E – Stress, Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises
· Myofascial Release Massage Therapy: Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This allows for muscular shortness and tightness underneath the fascial layer to release and correct itself in the fascial sling.

Why people come to see me

TRE: assists in the recovery from physical and emotional stress, tension and trauma. A lot of people I work with speak of dealing with physical or emotional pain that is not shifting even though they are going for various forms of treatment/therapy. Because TRE works from the inside out it is able to assist in shifting stuck patterns on a cellular, muscular and emotional level. TRE is a fantastic add on to talk therapy and other forms of physical therapy as part of creating an holistic approach to living a healthier life.

Myofascial Relase Therapy: Many patients seek myofascial treatment after losing flexibility or function following an injury or if experiencing ongoing back, shoulder, hip, or virtually pain in any area containing soft tissue.
